Carolina Gas Transmission
BHE GT&S, through its local operating company Carolina Gas Transmission, LLC (CGT), provides safe, reliable and affordable natural gas transportation services to markets in South Carolina and southeast Georgia. CGT owns and operates nearly 1,500 miles of transmission pipeline, serving wholesale customers including power generators, large industrials, local distribution companies, municipalities, and energy marketers. CGT’s pipeline system provides a critical infrastructure link between end-users and wholesale supply.
CGT is a transportation-only service provider. This allows CGT customers to manage their commodity risk through the wholesale supply market. CGT’s pipeline system is primarily designed to serve Firm Transportation (FT) customers. FT service ensures pipeline capacity is available to transport customers’ natural gas supply whenever it is needed, 365 days per year.

Southern Gas Association (SGA) – CGT is a member of this US natural gas trade association that supports 200+ member organizations and 300+ industry partners in North America with learning opportunities and idea exchange.
Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA) – CGT is a member of INGAA, whose members focus on commitments to landowners, pipeline security, responsible pipeline construction, pipeline safety and methane emissions.
Association of Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP, previously NACE) – AMPP represents the largest global community of corrosion and protective coatings professionals, focused on advancing technical and practical expertise that ensures high-performance materials are used to build and maintain sustainable infrastructure.
Pipeline Research Council International (PRCI) – PRCI is a community of the world’s leading pipeline companies, and the vendors, service providers, equipment manufacturers, and other organizations supporting the industry. Since 1952, PRCI has been recognized around the world as a unique forum within the energy pipeline industry delivering great value to its members and the industry — both quantitative and qualitative — through the development and deployment of research solutions to improve pipeline safety and performance. PRCI’s mission is to collaboratively deliver relevant and innovative applied research to continually improve the global energy pipeline systems.
Carolinas Natural Gas Coalition – BHEGT&S is a founding member of this organization which focuses on promoting natural gas in North and South Carolina.
